Authorities shut down a federal wildlife refuge in Oregon after an exchange of gunfire Tuesday left one man dead and another injured. The two brothers who orchestrated the armed occupation were taken into custody while traveling outside the area, along with six of their followers.
"There are things more important than your life — and freedom is one of them," LaVoy Finicum said. Authorities have not described the shooting, and the movement he helped lead is painting him as a martyr.
